This is a simple berry pie recipe to make a great pie with cherry and currant. You can use fresh or frozen berries. This is the perfect dessert for every day.
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 2 egg
- 1cup cherry (pitted)
- 1 cup black currant
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch of salt
Whisk together the butter and 3/4 cup of sugar. Add salt and baking powder. One by one add the eggs, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Gradually add flour, mix thoroughly.
Spoon the dough into the springform pan. Lay the berries on the surface of the dough.
Mix 2 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon and vanilla extract, sprinkles the berries with this mixture.
Bake the pie in a preheated to 350° F (175° C) oven about 45 – 50 minutes.
