Plum tart recipe – easy recipe of open faced pie with plums and brown sugar. Also, you can use any other fruits like as peaches, apples, pears, strawberries etc.
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter (cutted into chunks)
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- pinch of salt
- 10-12 plums (pitted and cliced)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Place flour, salt and sugar in large bowl, mix. Add butter and water. Mix the dough with your fingers until the mixture forms large crumbs.
Knead the dough and gather into a ball. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into 3 equal parts. Roll out each part on a sheet of baking paper in a circle. In the middle of each circle put the pieces of plums leaving the edge uncovered about 4 cm.
Sprinkle plums with brown sugar.
Fold and pleat the edges over the plums leaving center open.
Bake pies in a preheated 400° F (200° C) oven until golden, about 20 minutes.
Sprinkle top of tarts with powdered sugar.
